Michael Steven Stumpf, 69, of Ontario, Ohio arrived at his heavenly home on Sunday, August 11, 2024 surrounded by his family, after an 11 year battle with Alzheimer’s. Mike was born October 19, 1954 in Crestline, OH to the late Joseph and Betty Stumpf. He married Dianna (Dowell) on June 8, 1975 and together they shared a beautiful life and were blessed with 3 children. Mike was a handyman extraordinaire and could build or fix anything.
He was a supportive husband, amazing father, and the best Pawpaw and Pops, and just one of the good guys.
Mike is survived by his wife Dianna, son Josh (Stacy) Stumpf of Crestline, daughter Heather Yeichner of Lexington , and son Jason (Jen) Stumpf of Crestline. He will be forever cherished by his grandchildren. Lincoln Stumpf, Josiah Rodriguez, Jace Rodriguez, Grace Yeichner, Braylee Yeichner, Ella Stumpf, Emerson Stumpf, Devin Kuhn, Dustin Kuhn, and Drew Kuhn. Also surviving are his brothers Terry (Dianne) Stumpf and Doug (Donna) Stumpf. He is proceeded in death by his brothers Joseph and Doyle.
His presence here on earth will be missed, but the knowledge that his mind and body are now free to soar, offers a sense of peace during these times. Mike was a lover of the ocean and anything outdoors. When not at home playing with his grand kids or fixing things for everyone, he could be found at Daytona Beach fishing the surf and showing off his catches.
Per Mikes’s request, his celebration of life will be held in Daytona Beach with his immediate family present.
