Sarah Ann Simmons of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 28, 2024, in Logansport, Indiana at the age of 36. Sarah was the co-owner and manager of JC Race Parts.
She was born June 7, 1988, in Shelby, Ohio. Sarah graduated from Madison High School and North Central State College with a degree in engineering design, business and photography. She enjoyed many hobbies including crafts, photography, dirt track racing, working on racecars and cooking. Her shoe collection was immense. Sarah had a pure heart and enjoyed helping anyone in need.
Sarah is survived by her mother and stepfather, April (Mark) Peterson; father, Rodney Simmons; paternal grandmother, Loretta “June” Simmons; fiancé, Jeremy Canada; two step-sisters, Nicole (Justin) White and Natichia Herndon; numerous aunts and uncles; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Eugene “Gene” Simmons; uncle, Steve Simmons; and step-grandparents, Charles and Betty Peterson.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Mike Wilson will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
