MANSFIELD — The sixth edition of the News Man Weekly Podcast has dropped.
In Tuesday’s edition, Richland Source City Editor Carl Hunnell is joined by Dan Smith from the Ohio State Reformatory Preservation Society and Jodie Snavely from Destination Mansfield-Richland County to talk about plans for the upcoming 30th anniversary celebration of The Shawshank Redemption movie.
Also joining Hunnell is Ashland University Professor John Moser, the chair of the university’s history and political science department. Dr. Moser, author of several books and also creator of historical re-enactment role-playing games, will help provide historical perspective on what is shaping up to be an interesting 2024 presidential election cycle.
Hunnell is also joined by executive producer Zac Hiser and video producer Grant Ritchey to riff on the latest local news developments, including a discussion on the Olympic Games now underway in Paris.
Hunnell provides his own “Top 5” Olympic sporting moments — at least the ones he can recall watching on television. He provides the year — and then asks Hiser and Ritchey to guess the moment.
The News Man Weekly podcast will drop new episodes each Tuesday morning on Source Daily or wherever you find podcasts.
