Mansfield police are searching for a suspect who cashed counterfeit checks in Mansfield in February.

MANSFIELD — Mansfield police seek the public’s help in locating a man suspected of successfully cashing counterfeit checks at local banks five months ago.

According to a press release from police on Monday, the man pictured entered Park
National Bank locations in Mansfield and the surrounding area on Feb. 21.

The suspect handed checks to bank tellers and requested to cash them, police said.

“The suspect received cash from each of the locations. However, it was later discovered that each of the checks presented were counterfeit,” according to police.

Detectives have requested the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
