MANSFIELD: Robert Arthur Grace passed into eternal life on July 13, 2024 at the age of 80 after a lengthy and difficult illness.
Born to parents Arthur and Roberta (Stewart) Grace on April 27, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio, Robert graduated high school and served for three years in the United States Army. He enjoyed a long career with the Chrysler Corporation, a position which took him everywhere from Hawaii to Europe.
On May 27, 1978, he married his wife, Barbara. The couple enjoyed a long and loving marriage. Robert is remembered as a wonderful husband and father, always devoted to his family. His loved ones will forever recall his generous nature. His meticulous care for their home and his vision for creating a beautiful space for he and his wife to share speaks to a dedication to cultivating special and loving relationships with those he held dear through acts of kindness and service.
Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara; children Michael Grace, Tommy Grace, and Erin Grace; grandchildren Haylee, Jade, and Piper; two great-grandchildren; beloved canine companion Murphy; a sister Carolyn Kolba Craig; and many beloved friends and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Roberta (Stewart) Grace, a sister Nancy Greenhill, and brothers-in-law Kenneth Bohland and John Bohland.
Robert’s family invites loved ones to join them for a funeral service on Friday, July19, 2024 at 12pm at Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel. Burial following at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. Guests wishing to attend the graveside service for Robert at the cemetery are encouraged to meet at the main cemetery gate located on Miles Avenue at 2:20pm for burial at 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Robert’s name be made to the Richland County Humane Society.
