SHELBY — The Music Academy of Karate and Empowerment will host its annual Karate Camp and Black Belt promotion on July 27 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 3814 Bowman St.
Those attending should bring a chair for the outdoor event.
The Music Academy of Karate and Empowerment, also known as M.A.K.E., is on a mission to provide every person with the opportunity to be empowered through traditional karate, self-protection, and strength training.
“Our aim is to help individuals become the best version of themselves,” Sensei Reneta Music said.
“We are inviting the community to view our new nonprofit school and bid on items to raise funding that will enable the school to secure a permanent home,” she said.
Currently, classes are being taught in the Music basement.
