MANSFIELD — Mansfield police are asking the public to help them catch a thief — who may be tooling around town in an expensive car.

On June 6, the suspect walked into the Mansfield YMCA and gained access to a secured locker, where he allegedly stole two credit cards, according to police Capt. Randy Carver.

“This suspect then went to Best Buy in Ontario and made major purchases with the credit cards,” Carver said.

“After leaving Best Buy, the suspect went to Meijer in Ontario, where he used one of the credit cards to make another purchase,” the captain said.

Video surveillance shows the felony suspect driving a silver/gray BMW, which appears to have a spare or different wheel on the rear passenger side of the vehicle.

“Detectives are requesting the communities assistance in identifying this suspect in an effort to bring him to justice,” Carver said.

Anyone with information about this investigation or the suspect is asked to call Mansfield police Det. Terry Butler at 419-755-9791.
