CRESTLINE – The Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the grand opening and ribbon cutting for The Tattered Apron, a new bakery located at 302 N. Seltzer St., in Crestline.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, July 10, at 10 a.m. Community members, local businesses, and media are invited to attend.
“Our Bakery offers Classic Old World Style Pastries with a little Southern sass,” said Tommy and Crystal Payton, owners of The Tattered Apron.
“Our products are made from our kitchen from scratch, just like grandma used to make.”
Committed to community support, The Tattered Apron helps other local businesses and plans to provide an annual scholarship for a high school student interested in culinary arts.
“We strive to help other businesses become successful as well, because we’re all part of that hometown, small business, family-oriented market that needs to help each other out.”
The owners chose Crestline for its welcoming community and the need for a local bakery.
“We found a building in Crestline that fit our needs, and there weren’t any other physical bakeries open in town, so that’s why we decided to open here in town.”
In addition to pastries, The Tattered Apron will host community events such as coffee demonstrations and sip, snack, and paint nights.
“We want The Tattered Apron to be a place for people to enjoy our treats and create lasting memories.”
Join in on July 10 at 10 a.m. for the ribbon cutting, bakery tour, and pastry samples.
