Linda Marie (Jordan) Durdle, of Ontario, Ohio, age 75, passed away on July 2, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on October 3, 1948, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Roy and Esther (Hobbs) Jordan, and graduated from Northmor High School in 1966. She is survived by her devoted husband Patrick Durdle of 57 years, children Christina Durdle of Grove City, Ohio, Brian (Renae) Durdle, of Moreland Hills, Ohio, and Miki (Matthew) Graban, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, sister Patricia (Leslie) Wenger of Galion, Ohio, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other extended family. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister Judith (Jordan) Garverick.

Linda had an unconditional love for her children and was the best Nana in the world to her grandbabies Nichole, Jake, James, Ellie, Grace, Luke, Anna Kate, Madeline, Maeve; step-grandbabies Connor and Pippa; great grandbabies Dominic, Emelia, Rocco, Connor, Sophia, Clara, Niko; step-great grandbabies Collins, Elliott and Baker. Through many years of progressively worsening illness she would do her best to attend sporting events, shows, recitals, school programs, graduations, and any other activities she had the chance to share in their accomplishments. Her heart and love for her family, and genuine love for everyone who loved her family, is the reason she kept fighting, never wanting to miss a single thing.

Nana was famous for her homemade chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes, which was frequently requested by family. While her recipe was shared with many, it was never replicated. Nana loved and never missed birthdays, truly making you feel like you were the most special person on earth if it was yours. Her most recently treasured family tradition was celebrating Christmas at Mohican Lodge. She also enjoyed traveling locally to the lakes and Amish Country and cherished time spent in Columbus and Cleveland visiting family.

Linda had a green thumb, particularly for flowers and houseplants, and was a passionate owner of Durdle’s Greenhouse in Galion, Ohio for 13 years. She and her family also owned and operated The Warrior Restaurant in Ontario, Ohio in the 1980s and early 1990s. She was a hard worker with a big and caring heart, developing life-long friends while working in retail later in life. Her smile, spirit, humor, and grit always amazed everyone who met her. Most never knew her in good health, yet almost never did anyone perceive her as sick while in her presence because of these qualities.

Linda’s family expresses great appreciation to the caregivers of OhioHealth Home Hospice and the Kobacker House. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kobacker House-Hospice Giving.
