ASHLAND — The Ohio Express, renowned Pop Music Band from Mansfield, is the headliner for a June 29 benefit concert as a fundraiser for Dale-Roy School at the Guy C. Myer Memorial Band Shell in Ashland.
The Ohio Express is known worldwide for hit songs, Yummy, Yummy, Yummy and Chewy, Chewy as well as Scooby-Do, theme song of TV cartoon show.
In 2014 Buddha Records provided the Yummy, Yummy, Yummy Video to YouTube and the 1.5+ million views illustrates the popularity and longevity of the song.
Today, there are also millions of streams on spotify.
“The band and I are delighted to be part of this fundraiser for the Dale-Roy School and all that they do for challenged youngsters and the Ashland community,” said Tim Corwin, a founding member of the Ohio Express in 1967. “Special thanks to my andmate, Jeff Burgess, for also serving as the event organizer with mayor Matt Miller.
“We are excited to share our love of music at such an intimate venue as the Guy C. Memorial Band Shell in beautiful downtown Ashland.”
Jeff Burgess, and member since 2006 says, “It was my pleasure to serve as event organizer with Mayor Miller as a fundraiser for the Dale-Roy School. Their work with those that have developmental disabilities is an important cause for me personally and my bandmates in The Ohio Express.”
