Joseph “Joe” William Precup, 75, of Mansfield passed away Wednesday June 19, 2024 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Joe was born on August 11, 1948 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late John & Mary (Sandora) Precup. He had lived in Encino and Thousand Oaks California before returning to Ohio. Joe served his country in the United States Navy from 1965-1969, where he received the Purple Heart during the Vietnam War.
He had worked at Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co., as a private coach driver for a business agent and also for Oglesby Construction Inc. His sense of humor is what definitely made Joe unique. Joe was an avid golfer, who also loved watching sports, riding his motorcycle and socializing with friends. He also was a member of the Order of Owls Nest #1152.
Joe is survived by his twin brother, Michael (Patricia) Precup of Yucca Valley, CA, brother, John (Jean Taddie) of Mansfield and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, John & Mary (Sandora) Precup.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial expressions may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Richland County.
