Rosemary Britenbucher, 90
Rosemary Britenbucher, 90 of Ashland passed away late afternoon on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in Brethren Care Village with her family by her side.
She was born on October 13, 1933 in Ashland the daughter of the late Benjamin and Audrey (nee Watts) Hill.
Rosemary graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1951. That same year, she married the love of her life, Raymond J. Britenbucher on March 9, 1951.
She retired after more than 30 years from Ashland City Schools. Rosemary was a devoted member of the Church of Christ. Throughout her life, she loved to sew, play the piano, and bake.
Rosemary is survived by a daughter, Laura (Tim) Slater of Fort Mill, South Carolina; three sons, David (Leslie) Britenbucher of Ashland, Joel (Kathy) Britenbucher of Lakeville, Phil (Onah) Britenbucher of Mohicanville; nine grandchildren, Mellissa Britenbucher, Allen Britenbucher, Bryan Haven, Adam (Stacey) Britenbucher, Sarah (Fred) Thomas, Kris (Melony) Britenbucher, Kasey Britenbucher, Caroline Slater, and Amelia Slater; six great grandchildren, Aubree Haven, Zachary Britenbucher, Noah (Destinee) Britenbucher, Molly Britenbucher, Liz Thomas, and Freddie Thomas; two great-great grandchildren, Lukas and Liam; and one sister, Carolyn Abels of Columbus.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Raymond who passed away on June 17, 2011; two sisters, Eunice Waber and Emily Kerr; three brothers, John, Paul, and Bud Hill; a daughter-in-law, Patty Britenbucher; one grandson, Kelbe Britenbucher; and a son-in-law, Tim Slater.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ, 1185 County Road 1356, Ashland, OH 44805 with John Kerr, minister presiding. Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery.
Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
