On Thursday, May 16, 2024, The Mansfield City Schools hosted the Peace On My Block Community Fair at Arlin Field. The event was held to promote peace and togetherness at our schools and across our neighborhoods. Some were hesitant, would this bring the same results that have plagued our city over the past year and half? Well, the answer was a resounding no!!! The Mansfield City Schools and the community came together to put on an event that should be celebrated across the state.

Mansfield businesses and community partnerships donated over $16,000 to help fund the event. Over twenty community organizations came together to help support our kids. The MCS community, with well over 100 staff volunteered their time to make sure this event went smoothly.

The result was thousands of students with their families enjoyed an evening of fun that ended the night with the first firework show at Arlin Field since the 1980s. Kids were smiling, laughing, and most importantly, not on their cell phones. A special thank you to the following organizations and persons:Mayor Jodi Perry, Councilmen Diaz, Mansfield Fire and Police Department, Crossroads Community Church, Maddox Memorial, Mechanics Bank, Park National, Bob and Bob Door Company, Schmidt Security, Kahls Electric, Ohio Eye, Rocket Chevrolet Shelby, Tyger Booster Club, Modern Woodmen of America, Southern Title, Spalding and Kitzler, Greater Holiness Church, First Congregational Church, Mansfield Elks, Mansfield Amvets, Altrusa, Gorman Rupp, Crystal Care, United Way, Mt. Sincerely,
