PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Area Museum’s iconic Quilt Show is moving to a new date.
This year, the museum will host the popular exhibit on Friday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Quilt Show creator Shirley Wolf expects exhibitors from all over the area to bring in upwards of 80 quilts.
She and her quilt crew will create an artful display in the museum’s Community Room, and depending on the number of quilts received, may exhibit them throughout the museum as well.
Historically, the show has included heirloom antiques, new patterns and one-of-a-kind designs.
One of the museum’s major acquisitions, the beautiful Bicentennial Quilt, was created for Ohio’s 200th birthday in 2003. It is an impressive attraction, not only for quilters, but for anyone with an appreciation for the art of quilting.
It sets the stage for the show that always delights visitors of all ages.
Anyone wishing to exhibit one or more quilts in the three-day show may drop them off on Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For more information, call the Plymouth Area Museum at 419-687-1059.
Admission to this year’s quilt show is $5; however, exhibitors will be admitted free of charge.
