Margaret B. (Friend) Carroll, 92, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born May 5, 1932, in Mansfield, to John C. and Helen (France) Friend. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Margaret married Jerry Carroll on July 17, 1948 and was married 54 years until his passing in 2002. She also enjoyed fishing, bingo, and going to casinos.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Dennis) Boyce, Wanita (Ronald) Lambert, Sandra (Greg) Munholland, and Sherry (David) Gushard, all of Mansfield; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Carroll; her parents, John C and Helen Friend; daughter, Nancy Berry; grandchildren, Larry Berry, Jerry Berry, and Crystal Wade; great-grandson, Hayden Sheridan, brother John Friend; and sister Barbara Wood.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024 and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park, Ontario.
