Dorothy Lillian Switzer, 87, of Galion, passed away on Friday May 17, 2024, at Galion Point nursing home. Dorothy was born to the late parents of Walter and Josephine Lynch on August 22, 1936.

Dorothy married William “Bill” Switzer, Sr. on June 13, 1956. They have spent many wonderful years together.

Her boundless affection for her family was evident in the way she cherished spending time with them. Dorothy was fond of the many memories that were made with her children, great grandchild, and great great grandchildren. She never took lightly to the time spent in Boston where she reminisced with her siblings.

Dorothy’s warm spirit and love for all things Irish endeared her to everyone she met. Whether lounging on her favorite beach in Florida or treasure hunting at flea markets, Dorothy’s joy was infectious. She could often be found excitedly watching the dog races at the track, a hobby she thoroughly enjoyed. Dorothy also found joy in the beauty of nature, sunflowers, roses, and butterflies being her favorite.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who know her, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Let us gather to celebrate her life and the lasting impact she had on those around her.
