BELLVILLE: On Wednesday, May 22, 2024 Donna L. Coey went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.

She was born on September 23, 1934 in Mansfield, Ohio to parents Cecil and Cleoda (Craner) Goin. Donna attended and graduated from Mansfield Senior High School with the class of 1954.

On May 19, 1956, she married the love of her life, Thomas Coey. The couple shared 49 wonderful years together until his passing in 2006, now they are together again.

In her adult years Donna worked at Dunkin Jewelers for many years as well as a cook for the Temple Hills Church Camp in Bellville. She also spent countless hours volunteering at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and the Joesph Storehouse- which would of course lead to a lunch outing with the girls after every shift. Donna was a member of Fusion Church, Delaware Street in Lexington, Ohio for many years.

Donna enjoyed many things in her spare time including tending to her flower garden, sewing, doing puzzles, and spending numerous hours with a good book. She was a member of the PA Rhinehart Muzzleloader association with her husband Tom, and participated in many rendezvous together. Donna also enjoyed her fishing trips to Canada, mushroom hunting, and playing euchre every weekend with Dick and Delores Coey. Above all else though, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She never missed an opportunity to make memories with those she cherished the most.

She is survived by her loving children Tom (Pat) Coey, Tim (Kerry) Coey, Debra (Manolo) Neva, and Teresa (Jeff) Robertson, grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Devon, Stevie, Craig, Kim, Melissa, Brandon, Sarah, and Allen, 20 great-grandchildren, brother Gene Goin, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Coey, Sr., and many bothers and sisters-in-law.

The Coey family will receive guests on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 10 am to noon in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring her life will begin immediately after, Pastor Jeff Robertson will speak. Burial will take place in Bellville Cemetery. The family has requested that those in attendance come in casual attire, just as Donna would have wanted.
