MANSFIELD: Marlene Loretta Meyer, age 85, of Mansfield, passed away at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Marlene was born July 7, 1938 in Marion, Ohio to the late James and Harriett (Elliot) Henry and graduated from Marion Harding High School. On October 21, 1956 she married Budd Meyer with whom she celebrated 65 years. Marlene was the ideal wife and mother, providing a loving home for her family of four children. She delighted in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Budd Meyer, Laura Aldrich, Michael (Joan) Meyer, and Eric (Pauline) Meyer; grandchildren, Jesse (Ashley) Meyer, Josh Meyer, Ariel (Josh) McLaughlin, Megan (Cody) Lusk, Courtney Friedman, Jordan Friedman, Evan Friedman; great grandchildren, Hunter McLaughlin, Beau McLaughlin, Cecelia Meyer, Ryker Lusk, Ryver Lusk, Raeley Lusk, and Theodore Friedman; and a brother Ed Velasquez.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marlene was preceded in death by siblings Jimmy, Jr., Keith, Sonny, Skip, Patricia and Sonia.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 11 am in Waldo Cemetery. Pastor Andy Hupp will officiate.
