BELLVILLE: Described as a beautiful soul with a big heart, it was easy for Vicki Rose to give her love to others. Faithful in her spiritual walk, she is now at peace, no longer battling physical illness. Vicki L. Rose, 77, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday morning April 23, 2024.

The daughter of Alton and Janice (Drushel) Faber, Vicki was born June 13, 1946 in Mansfield. As a young girl she was raised in Loudonville. Vicki moved to Mansfield, attending Mansfield City Schools. That is where she first noticed a young man by the name of Larry Rose. Vicki graduated from Mansfield Senior in 1964 as well as T he Ohio State University. Vicki and Larry reconnected, began dating and were married on February 12, 1966. Vicki and Larry celebrated 54 years of marriage before his passing on December 11, 2020.

Hardworking, Vicki worked for United Telephone in the Coin Department. Balancing life as wife, mom and professional, Vicki never once missed her children’s sporting or school events. That commitment continued in her role as “MeMe”. Vicki looked forward to cheering on her grandkids and great grandkids as well.

She looked for the very best deals and enjoyed thrift shopping. She appreciated God’s creation and was an avid bird watcher.

Vicki attended StorySide Church. A strong woman of faith, Vicki’s caring demeanor often revealed glimpses of the Holy Spirit at work in her life.

She is survived by her loving children Tammy (John) Schoonyan, Michael Rose (fiancée Bonnie Horsley) and Wendy (Ron) Parsons; mother Janice Williams; grandchildren Amanda (Nick) Shultz, Katy (Troy) Swanger, Stephen (Amber) Parsons, Leah (Jason) Berry, Abby (Cory) Reis, Holli (Kevan) Dean, Nick (Tara) Schoonyan, Taylor Rose and Jakob Rose; great-grandchildren Brogan Smith, Kyron Berry, Weston Swanger, Amelia & Vivian Parsons, Oliver, Hazel, and Violet Schoonyan, Wyatt and Rhyen Schultz, Natalynn & Neal Dean, Cade Reis and two more great grandchildren on the way; brother Greg Faber; uncle Bill (Nelda) Drushel; as well as aunts, nieces and great nieces and great nephews.

Along with her father Alton Faber, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Rose.
Her family will receive friends 4-7pm Friday, April 26, 2024 in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 10 am – 11 am also at the funeral home. Vicki’s graveside services will be live streamed via the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home’s Facebook Page and will immediately follow in Bellville Cemetery Saturday, April 27, 2024.
