Rebecca “Becky” June Stoots, 65, passed peacefully surrounded by love, at Lexington Court Care Center on Friday, April 19, 2024.

Born November 7, 1958 in Mansfield, Ohio, Becky was the daughter of James and Vivian (Ash) Lowe. Becky was a 1977 graduate of Madison High School, and the organizer of her class reunions.

Becky was vivacious, independent, and chic, encompassing the spirit of Barbie, whom she adored. Like Barbie, Becky knew her professional possibilities were endless, spending 23 years with Sprint as a Billing Analyst and Carrier Supervisor until her retirement, where she then earned a degree in Respiratory Therapy serving those at OSU, Grant Medical Center, and Ohio Health Mansfield. It was through these opportunities she met some of her closest lifelong friends.

Becky was witty, social, and elegant, enjoying the finer things in life. Much like her Barbie collection, Becky, too, had an endless closet of shoes and accessories. She lived life, and enjoyed doing so. Becky enjoyed volunteering for the Miss Ohio Pageant, an organization that encourages women to work hard, give back, stay elegant, and become the best version of oneself. She left a sparkle wherever she went, traveling across the United States. Becky enjoyed skiing at Snow Trails in the cooler months, but her favorite place to be was poolside on the sunniest of days at Shelley Acres with her beloved grandchildren. Becky could be found at the pool all summer lounging in one of her many swimsuits, with a good book in her hand.

Above all else, Becky was a proud mother to her two sons: Jarrod and Jordan. Becky loved sharing stories of her boys with whomever she conversed. She was especially proud of the wonderful fathers her boys have become. Becky’s five grandchildren soon became her world, whether it be overnights or pool parties, “Grammy” absolutely lived for her precious grand-darlings.

Left to treasure so many fun and loving memories are her sons, Jarrod (Sadie) Stoots and Jordan Stoots; Her grandchildren: Kristian, Owen, Austin, Aurora, and Daisy; her brother, James (Terri) Lowe; her dear friend and cousin whom she’d lovingly call “Baby Cuz”, JoAnn Wenninger, and many cherished family and friends. Becky was preceded in death by her parents.

A special thank you to Pathways Hospice and Lexington Court Care Center for their compassionate care.

A gathering of family and friends will be held to celebrate the life and adventure of Becky on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield, 98 S. Diamond Street. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
