Mitzi W. Cox, 86 of Crestline, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024. Mitzi was born April 9, 1938 to Lola and Charles Watson in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Chorman; her husband, Charles (Chuck) Cox; and son, Tracy A. Cox.

She is survived by her sons, Charles W. (Laz) Cox, Kelvin L. “Kelly” (Kim) Cox; daughter, Suzette M. “Suzy” (fiancé, Robert Gekler) Gossett; ex-daughters-in-law, Theresa Rutkowski and Whitney “Whit” Randolph; grandsons, Lee Cox, Jon Cox, Brandon Cox, Jason Cox, and Ben Cox; granddaughter, Danielle (Dani) Cox; and five great-grandchildren; also surviving are some nieces and nephews.

Mitzi was an avid animal lover. She gave homes and love to hundreds, both large and small.

She worked at Geauga Plastics in Crestline, Millington Plastics in Upper Sandusky and Timken in Bucyrus.

Over the years, she and Chuck owned and operated Char-Mit Kennel, Roadside Rock Shop and Roadside Ceramics. Upon the death of Chuck, Mitzi closed the ceramic shop and started raising Quaker parrots. She continued to raise birds until she could no longer do so, due to health issues.
