Melody Mae Bishop, 66
Melody Mae Bishop, 66 of Ashland passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 in University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born on March 11, 1958 in Ashland the daughter of the late Howard and Donna (nee Baker) Harley.
Melody married the love of her life, Douglas Bishop on August 19, 1998 who survives.
She retired after more than 40 years from Hedstrom.
In addition to her husband, Melody is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Ricker of Ashland; one son, Zachary Bishop of Ashland; two grandchildren, Micheala Ricker of Ashland and Dylan Johnson of Ashland; two sisters, Georgina Miller of Ashland and Kimberly Phipps of Stryker, Ohio; and one brother, Timmy (Vicki) Harley of Ashland.
Along with her parents, Melody is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Harley, Howard “Skip” Harley, and Michael Harley.
A private interment service will be in the Ashland Cemetery with Pastor Jim Norris presiding on Friday. Visitation will be open to the public on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
