MANSFIELD — Larry Weirich was re-elected April 11 to his second, four-year term as chair of the Richland County Democratic Party Executive Committee.
The unanimous vote came when the party’s Central Committee had its required reorganizational meeting at party headquarters, 16 S. Park St., with 72 people attending.
Matt Finfgeld was unanimously elected to his fourth, four-year term as chair of the Central Committee.
Brennen Finfgeld was elected vice chair, Sharon Schulz as secretary and Brenda Brooks as treasurer. All offices were elected unanimously by Central Committee members present.
After the Central Committee passed a motion to elect themselves to the executive committee, nominations for Executive Committee chair were accepted.
Norm Shoemaker nominated Weirich, pointing out the Labor and Democratic Party relationship in Richland County under Weirich’s leadership is the best it has ever been.
Weirich thanked everyone for their unwavering support and said the next meeting in May would include his recommendations to appoint additional members to the Executive Committee and to elect the other officers of the Executive Committee.
