Jamie Eugene Weiler, 51, of Ashland passed away Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, at Cleveland Metro Hospital following a short illness.
Jamie was born October 19, 1972 in Ashland, Ohio. The son of Wayne and Roberta Weiler of Ashland, and Robin and Billy Baughman, Jamie graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1991. He went on to attend Hocking College where he met his wife Jennifer Pavlik and eventually moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Jamie grew a love for DJing and was often hired for various events throughout the state of Ohio.
Jamie was a loyal Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. Jamie played slow pitch softball in the Ashland area for many years and enjoyed playing darts and bowling. Jamie also had a love for singing karaoke and playing trivia. Jamie was an outstanding poker player, and it was through his love of the game that Jamie met and became friends with WTAM personality Mike Trivisano. Trivisano gave Jamie the nickname “Grossberger” and referred to him as such when he’d call into the radio station and attend charity events. Jamie was a friend to many, and regardless of where life took him, they always held a very special place in Jamie’s heart.
Jamie is survived by his parents, his wife, and his siblings Tori (Bill) Mullet of Glenmont, Amy Weiler (Matt) of Ashland, and JJ Carpenter also of Ashland. Nieces and Nephews, Coven (Katie) Mullet, Drake Mullet, Katelyn, Kamryn and Keegan Wokojance and Great Nephew Tanner Mullet. Jamie is also survived by his grandmother Shirley Weiler of Ashland as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Ashland Eagles Club, 400 Eastlake Drive on Sunday, April 14th from 1-5. Services will start promptly at 2:00. Brian Liston will officiate. Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery.
