Elmer Hall, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 in his home surrounded by his family. He was 75.
He was born on May 23, 1948 to parents Robert & Alvia (Sheppard) Hall in Bevinsville, Kentucky. While in high school, Elmer was drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country during Vietnam.
Elmer retired from Crane Plumbing, however he worked for the company through multiple transitions and names.
In his spare time, Elmer loved to take care of his chickens and game roosters, diligently getting up to feed them every morning. He also enjoyed spending time at his favorite fishing hole and attending church at Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church. But above all else, Elmer cherished his family. He was a true family man, making sure each new generation knew his love without a doubt.
He is survived by his loving wife Loretta Hall, children Clarence (Lori) Hall and Keith (Jen) Hall, step-children Cherry (Jayson) Boyer, Annie (Arlie Thompson) Lykins, and Becky (Tim) McNair, grandchildren Amber (Nick) Perry, Katie (TJ) Slayton, Autumn (Sean Connolly) Hall, Kacie (Dalton) Lykins, Destiny (Tajai Fields) Hall, Robert Hall, Brooklyn (Brice Swindall) Rogers, Breanna (Asa) Tackett, Bryce Thompson, Victorious Nera, Hailey (Kanaan Auslick) Sims, Timothy Boyer, Ryker McNair, 21 great-grandchildren, siblings Larry Hall, Bobby Hall, Mary “Kitty” Lewis, Rose Adkins, and Vonda “Faye” Dillon, as well as many more beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Alvia Hall, and his first wife Rhonda G. Hall.
The Hall family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring Elmer’s life will begin immediately after. Rev. Earl Tackett will speak. Burial to follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
