Freda Gail Fisher, age 80, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 24, 1943, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to the late Martha (Workman) and James Hilderbrand. She married Harold Fisher and became a full time homemaker raising eight children. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, but being with her grandchildren brought special joy.

She is survived by eight children, Jeff (Judy) Fisher, Kim Adkins (Bill Hamilton), Vicki Fisher, Connie (Tim) Stamper, Liz Taylor (Bruce Bryant), Tammy (Tim) Fultz, Chris Fisher (fiancée, Tiffany Robinson) and Chad Fisher; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Shirley Hilderbrand and Linda Enyhart; a brother, Sean James; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Warren Lambert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harold Fisher; granddaughter, Jennifer Adkins; two sisters, Phyllis James and Joyce Hardwick; three brothers, Jay, Phillip and Gordon (Helen) Hilderbrand; two sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Glenn Mowry officiating.
