MANSFIELD: Bobby W. Manderson, 84, of Mansfield went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 3, 2024 following an extended illness.

The son of Ivor and Evelyn (Isbell) Manderson, Bobby was born July 2, 1939 in Aransas Pass, Texas. Following his high school graduation, Bobby served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Hard working, Bobby drove as a long haul truck driver. Amazingly his career spanned over 50 years. He also worked at Sam’s Club in Ontario.

On February 9, 1985, Bobby married Lois Sharrock White.

He attended Faith Baptist Church in Mansfield.

A Texas native, Bobby’s Texas accent never left him, and he remained an all things western enthusiast. Books, movies, and attire, Bobby embraced his Texas roots.

More than his love of westerns was his family. He was an amazing husband, dad, and papa. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, loving ways and one of a kind sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife Lois Manderson; children Bonnie (Ned) Belcher, Don (Lote) White, Connie Rowland, and Charles (Beth) White; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son John White; two grandchildren; and loving grandmother “granny” who raised him as a child.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 4-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where his funeral will begin Wednesday at 11 am. His son Pastor Don White will officiate and burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
