Sheri Kay O’Neil, 62, of Mansfield, passed away at Mansfield Memorial Homes early morning on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Sheri was born February 12, 1962 in Mansfield, Ohio. Sheri cherished her family and loved capturing moments with them. Some of her favorite times with family were centered around the holidays where she always decorated her home to reflect each one. The outdoors brought her peace and relaxation, some of her favorite places to visit were Mt. Jeez, Malabar Farm and Kingwood Center. She enjoyed long rides and the fun of “getting lost” as you always saw or found something unexpected. A frequent stop for her favorite cold treat, ice cream was made usually from Dairy Queen or Dairyland. She could spend hours working on diamond art, cross stitch and puzzles. She had a heart for animals with her favorite being her 9 year old shih tzu, Wheezer.
Those she leaves behind to cherish many memories are her daughter, Melanie (Angel) Mayo, her grandchildren, Tyler Jones and Brooklyn Gardner; her mother, Jeri Freeman; her siblings, Rick (Carol) O’Neil, Brian (Sheila) O’Neil and Jodi Thrush; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Ken O’Neil; her step-father, Dick Freeman; and her brother-in-law, Mike Thrush.
