Leona “Lee” B. Huvler, 64, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Lee, who was best known as “Ammy” by her granddaughter, family, and friends, was born on September 5, 1959, in Mansfield, to Richard Milton and Leona (Dailey) Steiner. The best word to describe Ammy, other than loving, would be loyal, as she was very loyal to her family. She loved kids and animals, and she loved music. She loved the outdoors and had since she was a child. One of her favorite sounds were the “spring peeps.” She would always stop and tell us to stop and listen. Ammy really enjoyed watching her son, Bill and granddaughter, Kayen perform their music in their various venues. She was their biggest fan.

Along with her mother, Leona Steiner, she is survived by her son, Bill Huvler of Mansfield; granddaughter, Kayen Huvler; sisters, Sharon Gretchen and Trudy Benavides, both of Mansfield; and nieces and nephews, Gert Benavides, Sam (Lynn) Benavides, Doug (Jess) Benavides, and Missy Krizan-Menard. Ammy was really close with and loved her family very much.

Ammy was preceded in death by her father, Richard Milton Steiner; and brother-in-law, Oscar “Benny” Benavides.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Cornerstone Grace Brethren Church, 1905 N. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario, OH 44906. Memorial services will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Les Vnasdale officiating.
