MANSFIELD — Living and learning globally is one of the tenets of an International Baccalaureate education, and as the area’s only IB school, it’s one that Discovery School takes to heart.

Every student learns a second language, and students are encouraged to go beyond the state standards by considering local, national, and global perspectives as they draw conclusions and explore new ideas.

In keeping with that tradition, the school will be hosting its annual Intercultural Fair on Saturday, March 23 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Attendees will pick up a passport and travel around the world visiting tables and learning more about the 18 countries that will be represented from South and Central America, Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, and regions of North America like Appalachia and Cajun culture.

There will be activities, cultural information, and even some food and drink to sample.

The school would like to extend an invitation to all members of the community to attend at Discovery School on 855 Millsboro Road.

This is the chnce to experience the research, artifacts, treats, and activities that staff, students, and their families have to share from their chosen country or region.

Admission is free, but donations are appreciated, and all ages are welcome.
