Leona Mae Hoffer, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024. She was born on August 30, 1925 in Mansfield, Ohio to parents Frederick and Katherina (Metzgar) Barth.
In 1947 Leona married the love of her life, Michael Hoffer. The two shared 54 wonderful years together until his passing in 2001, now they are together again.
Leona enjoyed spending time working in her yard and spent countless hours tending to her garden. In her younger years she was also a member of the Lexington Gardening club.
She is survived by her sons Lonnie Hoffer and Jodie (Sheryl) Hoffer, grandchildren Kevin (Tiffany) Hoffer, Tabatha (Brian) Wortman, Brock Hoffer, Abrea Hoffer, and Dalton Hoffer, and brother Kenneth (Beatrice) Barth.
In addition to her parents, Leona is preceded in death by her husband Michael Hoffer and daughter Laurie Hoffer.
A private family service will be held later.
