A wind advisory is in effect in north central Ohio.

MANSFIELD — It’s yet another eventful weather day in north central Ohio with a major drop in temperatures throughout Wednesday afternoon, according to Rebecca Owens, director of Richland County’s Emergency Management Agency.

At this time, The Salvation Army is NOT expected to open this evening.

* WHAT…West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.

* WHERE…Huron, Crawford, Richland, Ashland, Marion and Morrow Counties.

Tonight, the National Weather Service forecast calls for mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers in the evening, then mostly clear after midnight. Little or no snow accumulation.

It will be breezy and much cooler with lows in the lower 20s. west winds 15 to 25 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph in the evening. The chance of snow is 30 percent.
