COLUMBUS — State Rep. Marilyn John (R-Richland County) has announced the application period for the Single Family Tax Credit program is now open.

Applications for fiscal year 2024 tax credit reservations will be accepted by the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) until Friday, April 5, 2024 at 4 p.m.

“This program will increase access to affordable housing across the state, ultimately continuing to uplift and strengthen Ohio’s workforce,” said John.

According to the OHFA website, the Single Family Tax Credit program leverages public-private partnerships to increase the inventory of affordable, single family housing for Ohio’s growing workforce.

The program provides $50 million a year for four years to fill the financing gap to develop or rehabilitate housing in Ohio.

State Representative Marilyn John is currently serving her second term in the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 76th House District, which encompasses all of Richland County.
