David D. Dull, 86

David D. Dull, 86 of Ashland passed away Thursday morning, February 15, 2024 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on April 30, 1937 in Ashland, Ohio the son of the late Charles and Lenna (nee Emminger) Dull.

Following his high school graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy.
He married the love of his life, the former Beverly Thompson on January 25, 1964.
Dave retired after more than 30 years from Copper Welding in 1997. He will be notably remembered as a “Jack of All Trades”.

Throughout his life, he was a devout golfer and avid deer hunter. In his earlier years, Dave enjoyed bowling on a league at Luray Lanes and riding his Honda Goldwing with his wife. Another pastime of Dave’s was attending car shows.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years of marriage, Mrs. Beverly Dull of Ashland; five children, Vicki (Dean) Grant of League City, Texas, Doug (DeeDe) Dull of Mansfield, Dan (Kim Sutter) Dull of Plymouth, Tim (Judith) Dull of Shelby, and Jackie Dull of Shelby; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Rosemary Dull of Nankin; two brothers, George Dull of Nankin and Ed (Pat) Dull of Loudonville; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Kirkpatrick of Wellington.

In addition to his parents, Dave is preceded in death by one son, Robert C. Dull who passed away on March 27, 2008; a grandson, Anthony Dull who passed away on November 3, 1993; one sister, Diane Kirkpatrick; and three brothers, Frank, Clyde, and Harold Dull.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Ashland County Memorial Park Mausoleum where the Ashland Veterans Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. A meal and time of fellowship will be in the Legacy Room of the funeral home. Friends may call Tuesday evening, February 20, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
