Josephine Louise Wellington, age 80, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
She was born April 1, 1943, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Anna (Burns) and Sinett Burdette. Josephine lived in Florida in her early years and became a long time Mansfield area resident. She retired from Westbrook Country Club where she worked as a bartender. Her grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Josephine is survived by two daughters, Kim Matthews (Charles Hunt) and Cindy Williams; four grandchildren, Robert (Jordan) Ewers, Sommer Burdette (Michael Beam), Sierra Williams and Cole Williams; five great-grandchildren, Owen Swanger, Izabella Ewers, Bentley Beam, Jex Ewers and Bryant Beam; two brothers, Gary Burdette and Robert (Paulette) Burdette; a close niece, Diane Sheeks; and many nieces, nephews, cherished family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Leroy Burdette, Lenard Burdett, Tom Burdette, Jenny Pritt and Marie Gibson.
