BUCYRUS – The Ready-for-Hire program in Crawford County is inviting Level Up participants, parents/family and members of the public to the Level Up Art Show.

The show is scheduled to take place on Feb. 21 on the first floor of the Bucyrus Public Library from 6 to 7 p.m.

The art show will display a wide range of artwork that was created between November and January or February.

The Level Up Art Show will feature a collection of prints of digital art and printed copies of the artists’ 3D designs.

Attendees can look forward to seeing an impressive range of artwork on display, from illustrations and paintings to graphic design pieces.

Plans are also being made to showcase students’ animated media and musical projects, adding an extra level of excitement to the event.

“The young adults who have been participating in the program have worked extremely hard and deserve to be recognized,” said Kolter Kiess, Teen Services Manager. “I think the public at large will be surprised at the amazing talent that Crawford County’s youth has to offer.

“I know I’m constantly impressed. And I know that everyone who attends the program will be, too. We can’t wait to see you on Feb. 21.”

The Ready-for-Hire Level-Up program is a career-readiness program for students in grades 9-12, but the Bucyrus Public Library has used library resources to expand the program to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

The program is aimed at providing students with valuable and in-demand career skills such as animation, Photoshop, 3D printing, music production, digital illustration/design and more.

The Level Up Art Show is an integral part of the program, as it provides a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity.

Moreover, it is a chance for the community to come together and appreciate the power of art while also learning about the program and how it benefits the youth and employers in Crawford County.

Students interested in participating in the outlined activities for the Ready for Hire after-school program may report to the Bucyrus Public Library in person to sign up as the program continues to take on new students.
