He was a Christian man, loved the Lord Jesus, and prayed for his family. Always speaking his mind, you could count on him for advice. He was a good listener, always concerned for his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He attended Mansfield Baptist Temple in earlier years which he loved Pastor Adkins, Folger, and Pastor Kurtz and family. He loved his dogs, Blackie, Dash, and Pepper and his cats, Miss Kitty, Mittens, Fluffy, Red and Butter Ball. He loved to exercise and jogged over 22,000 miles from 1968-1999.

Heaven gained another angel today. Dad will never be forgotten, and it is hard to say good-bye. He will be greatly missed, till we see you on the other side. He has this saying on the wall, β€œGod grant me the serenity to change the things I can, and accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
