W. Phillip Leonard, 83, went to his heavenly rest on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He was born on July 4, 1940 to W. Calvin and Mary Kay (Phillips) Leonard in Mansfield, Ohio.
Phil graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1958. He attended the O.S.U. branch when it first opened in Mansfield. He retired from National Seating, where he was a union representative.
Phil loved fly fishing, biking, and geneology. He was a member of the Richland Geneological Society and Lexington Moose, and Fly Fishers of America. He was also a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and attended Grace Fellowship whenever he could.
In 1957, Phillip attended his junior prom with Marjorie Sharrock. Fifty years later, they married each other! What a wonderful gift from God!
Phil is survived by his beloved wife, Margy and her family; and also a cousin, Gretchen Blum, of Urbana, Ohio. Phil was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; and his first wife, Pam.
Phil was known for his kindness and caring. As per his wishes, there will be no services at this time.
