On February 16, 1962, Charles married the love of his life, Barbara J. Peterson. Charles had a knack for precision, demonstrated by his enjoyment of shooting, both pool and guns. Whether engaging in a friendly game of pool with his family or practicing target shooting, he found joy in these activities that allowed him to showcase his skills.

In his younger years, Charles embraced the open road on an old Triumph motorcycle from the 60s. The wind in his hair and the rumble of the engine were sources of freedom and exhilaration, adding an adventurous flair to his life. He was also a dedicated participant in a local bowling league.

For a period of 15 years, Charles and his wife Barbara lived in Florida, where they embraced the sunshine and warmth. This chapter of their lives brought new experiences, friendships, and a change of scenery, contributing to a rich tapestry of memories that they cherished together.
