MANSFIELD — Some of the top baseball players in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference call Richland County home.
Clear Fork’s Luke Schlosser and Kaden Riddle, Ontario Gage and Carter Weaver and Shelby’s Nic Eyster and Kam Wheeler were selected to the All-MOAC first team, announced earlier this week. They were joined by locally by Galion’s Hunter Miniard.
MOAC champ Highland put three players on the All-MOAC first team: Brock Church, Kort Sears and Hayden Kline. Marion Harding’s Austin Allen was the final member of the All-MOAC’s 11-man first team.
Clear Fork’s Jay Jackson, Galion’s Mason Sansom, Braxton Prosser and Max Albert and Shelby’s Landon Kennard and Eli Schwemley were second-team picks. They were joined by Highland’s Zach Church and Jayden Collins, Marion Harding’s Nathan Cunningham, Pleasant’s Cadence Varner and River Valley’s Brycen Spaulding.
Honorable-mention selections were Clear Fork’s Kasey Swank, Galion’s Kael Longwell, Ontario’s Colton Ramion, Shelby’s James Mahon, Highland’s Zach Schmidt, Marion Harding’s Van Dutton, Pleasant’s Carver Kline and River Valley’s Caden Doubikin.
