LEXINGTON — Clear Fork broke to an early lead, but Lexington responded to collect a 62-41 non-conference win on Saturday night in Ohio boys basketball action.
The Colts enjoyed a 15-11 first-quarter advantage before the Minutemen moved on top 28-24 at the half. Lex opened the bulge to 44-34 through three periods and continued building the gap in the final eight minutes.
Baden Forup paced undefeated Lexington with 19 points and 13 rebounds, 9 of them on the offensive glass. Hudson Moore added 15 points and 6 rebounds, while Elijah Hudson chipped in 13 points.
Lex dominated the backboards with a 44-32 rebounding margin. Defensively, coach Scott Hamilton’s club limited the Colts to just 30-percent shooting, 15-of-50 field goals.
Garrett Hotz topped Clear Fork with 12 points and Adam Vanausdale added 11. Both players hit a trio of 3-pointers.
The Colts dropped to 4-9 and play at River Valley on Thursday.
Lexington is 10-0 and travels to Ontario on Tuesday.
