Bucyrus was solid, but not good enough, on Tuesday, as Carey prevailed 49-35 in an Ohio boys basketball matchup on January 3.

Carey opened with a 12-9 advantage over Bucyrus through the first quarter.

A halftime tie at 22-22 allowed for a respite as both teams looked to regroup in the locker room.

Carey moved ahead of Bucyrus 36-31 as the final quarter started.

The Blue Devils got the better of the final-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with a 13-4 edge.

Last season, Carey and Bucyrus squared off with February 5, 2022 at Bucyrus High School last season. For a full recap, click here.
