MANSFIELD – The Board of Directors of the North End Community Improvement Collaborative, Inc. (NECIC) would like to invite the public to attend its annual meeting on March 30, at the Community Outreach Center building at 486 Springmill Street in Mansfield at 6 p.m.

The public and media are encouraged to attend.

NECIC’s founder and Executive Director, Deanna West-Torrence and staff will highlight the work of another exciting year. With the mission to improve the quality of life for North End residents, NECIC’s asset-based philosophy is a unique approach to engaging residents and community partners in collaborative action to improve economic and social conditions in the North End Community.

“This meeting is also our opportunity to say a public thank you our residents, partners, and donors who have supported NECIC throughout the years,” West-Torrence said.

With a theme of “We are Building Blocks” NECIC will present an overview of the 2021 year as well as presenting first looks at renderings of the proposed new community center, to be located at 486 Springmill Street.

The collective aspirations of the neighborhood in the North End are articulated in the North End Community Economic Development Plan available at: https://www.necic-ohio.org/who-we-are/the-plan.

Developed with residents and stakeholders over a two-year period, the plan is NECIC’s guide for all programming and initiatives.

With a 20-year vision of ensuring that the North End is “the leading engine of economic vitality, positive youth development, arts, and civic engagement,” the organization looks forward to presenting its work over the past year at this Annual Meeting as well as laying out future endeavors for 2022.

Each program, partner, plan, process, and final product that results from our efforts are building blocks for a better North End.

Questions regarding the meeting may be directed to Kimberly Carnahan at 419-522-1611, ext. 131.
