LEXINGTON — Lexington took control from the opening tip and poured it on to record an 85-51 thumping of Galion in a non-conference boys basketball game on Saturday night.
Four Minutemen reached double figures, led by 19 apiece from Hudson Moore and Baden Forup. Caden Eichler and Elijah Hudson each scored 13 points as Lex led all the way.
Coach Scott Hamilton’s team jumped in front 18-4 through the first quarter and owned a 38-20 bulge at halftime. The gap widened to 64-43 heading to the final eight minutes, where Lex outscored the Tigers 21-8.
Garrett Ison posted 13 points for Galion, while teammates Cooper Kent and Jaxon Oswald both chipped in nine points.
Lexington dominated the boards, earning a 44-20 rebounding margin, with Hudson’s 12 rebounds leading the way.
The Minutemen are 12-6 overall, and will travel to Mount Vernon on Friday.
Galion drops to 3-12, and will host Ontario on Thursday.
