MANSFIELD — Mechanics Bank has announced Illya Boronka, Amanda Boyce, Holly Jones and Stacey Massie-Creel have been awarded the James A. Courtney Award.

The award is presented to Mechanics employees who best exemplify the company’s mission – “to pursue excellence in every possible way to enrich the lives of people and the communities we serve.”

The award is presented on a peer nomination basis.

Illya Boronka

Boronka began his career at Mechanics in 2013 as a Summer Intern. Illya later served as a Customer Service Specialist (CSS), Senior CSS and Assistant Branch Manager prior to his current position of Residential Mortgage and Consumer Loan Officer. Boronka has an associate degree in Accounting from North Central State College.

Amanda Boyce

Boyce began her career at Mechanics in 2019 following 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Amanda served as a Private Banking Specialist prior to her current position of Human Resources Assistant Manager.

Holly Jones

Jones began her career at Mechanics in 2009 as a Customer Service Representative (CSR). Holly later served as a Senior CSR, Customer Service Specialist (CSS) and Senior CSS prior to her current position of Assistant Branch Manager.

Stacey Massie-Creel

Massie-Creel began her career at Mechanics in 2015 as a Customer Service Representative (CSR). Stacey later served as a Customer Service Specialist (CSS) and Senior CSS prior to her current position of Assistant Branch Manager.

The James A. Courtney Award, named for Mechanics’ former President, is the company’s most prestigious recognition of performance.
