MANSFIELD — A facility that provides subsidized housing for senior citizens near downtown Mansfield has sold for $2,920,000, according to property transfers filed recently with the Richland County Auditor’s Office.
The West Park Senior Center, located at 27 W. 2nd St., was sold to West Park Senior OH, LLC, by West Park Development Co., according to the public record.
According to the website publichousing.com, “West Park Senior Center is a HUD Apartment. HUD residents usually pay 30 percent of their gross income for rent. The rent amount, less approved HUD deductions such as medical and child care expenses, and other allowances, includes a utility allowance.”
The four-story facility has 73 units and was built in 1983, according to the website apartments.com.
