MANSFIELD — Richland Public Health on Thursday asked residents seeking the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot be patient due to high call volumes.
RPH health education and communications specialist Reed Richmond said those calling to schedule the booster vaccines may experience the same difficulties experienced when the vaccines first became available in 2020.
“If they don’t get through, they can leave a message and someone will call them back,” Richmond said. “We will be doing boosters for the foreseeable future. We aren’t running out.”
To register for the vaccine or the booster through RPH, call 419-774-4700.
Booster vaccines are also available at other locations in the county, including pharmacies. Residents are not required to get the booster shots at the same locations where they obtained their original vaccines.
