This weekend is the annual NODPA International Show. There will be over 300 head of draft ponies and draft horses competing in classes at the Richland County Fairgrounds. Admission is free so come on out and watch these beautiful hitches. The show will be held in the draft horse arena which is located in the northeast corner of the fairgrounds.

Saturday morning kicks off at 10 a.m. with the youth competing in a decorating contest which is tying tails and braiding manes and putting in the fancy mane rolls and flowers and the tail bows. They will also compete in showmanship classes which is a halter class.

Starting at noon on both Saturday and Sunday there will be cart classes, team, unicorn, four horse and six horse hitches. Saturday there will also be a few farm classes.

There will be hitches coming from at least 8 different states – Ohio , Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, Maine, Missouri, Illinois and Michigan.
