MANSFIELD — Shelly & Sands, contractor for the U.S. 30 major rehabilitation project in Mansfield, is proposing changes to the current maintenance of traffic plan.

The project, which extends from the interchange of U.S. Route 30 and state Route 309 to Fifth Avenue, originally planned to maintain two lanes of traffic in each direction.

The contractor is proposing to reduce traffic to one lane in each direction through portions of the project during the 2021 construction season, to allow for the entire westbound portion of the roadway to undergo all of its construction at the same time.

The proposed changes are currently being finalized by the project team. Once the proposed changes have been approved, more information will be shared with the public. To view the proposed changes, including a power point presentation with diagrams, please visit the project website at U.S. 30 major rehabilitation (ohio.gov).

Questions or comments about the proposed maintenance of traffic changes can be sent to ODOT District 3’s Public Information Office at D03.PIO@dot.ohio.gov.
