MANSFIELD — Mansfield Police Officer Jeffrey T. McKinley has announced his retirement effective Feb. 8, 2021, according to a press release issued on Monday by Chief Keith Porch.
Officer McKinley was appointed to the department on Feb. 2, 1994. As a new Patrol Officer he was assigned to the Community Services Bureau Patrol Section, and is currently assigned to the Day Shift.
According to Porch, Officer McKinley is known for his hard work, dedication, initiative and positive attitude toward his work. He consistently demonstrates a high degree of skill, integrity and perseverance in his job. Throughout his career he has receive numerous Special Commendation Awards, letters of recognition, and letters of appreciation from citizens and fellow law enforcement personnel.
“Jeff’s retirement represents a loss to the Mansfield Division of Police, the citizens of this community and culminates a career that has exemplified the best qualities of a law enforcement professional,” Porch stated. “Jeff has our congratulations upon his retirement and our heartfelt thanks for many years of loyal service.
“We wish him the greatest success and happiness in the future.”
Due to restrictions in place due to COVID-19, there will be no public ceremony.
